In addition, the patient is ordered a general and biochemical blood test – an increase in ESR and leukocytosis are also signs of the inflammatory process.
The final diagnosis is confirmed by X-ray – the image shows darkening of the lungs.
Sputum analysis is performed to determine the causative agent of the disease – after which it is possible to prescribe treatment.
